The silk Scarf

Settings: It took place at the Oriental Plaza in Johannesburg, a shopping center owned  by Indians.

Main character: Mrs. Nebo
She was a wife to Mr. Clive Nebo who is designed as the Foreign Minister in the new government. She had a medium height. Heavy loins and a smoothed-skinned complexion can also be a description of  her. good friend was Margaret, whom she goes shopping with. Mrs. Nebo had a lot of money and usually pays by cheques. Having to be an impotant man's wife, she believed that everybody had to respect her.

Plot
 The silk scarf short story talks about a rich wife of the man Clive who is going to be the foreign minister in the new government.   Mrs Nebo and her friend Margaret went for shopping at  the shopping centre of Oriental Plaza in Fordsburg. They bought shoes,  jewelry  Mrs. Nebo went there to buy herself some clothing’s. Mrs. Nebo was a rich woman as she was a wife of a man who was going to be the foreign Minister in the new government. One of the dresses she bought  needed a matching scarf. She strolled around the center and at last came across a scarf that matched her dress. She took it and just realised she did not have enuogh money in cash to pay for the dress and had a cheque instead but the man selling the scarf does not accept cheques. Her friend told the seller that he should realise that he was talking to an important person. The seller told them that it was a rule he set and it applied to all people. This became a misunderstanding and Mrs. Nebo felt disrespected and the other Indians selling there as well, were afraid of being involved in this problem. Cause they did not want to face her husband who was in such a high position. They tried to talk him out of this problem he was causing but that did not work out instead they bought the scarf for her just settle matters.

PLOT

Jerry, a young English boy, and his mother are on holiday at a beach they have come to many times in years past. His mother who is a widow is concerned for her son to be who he wants to be. Though he knew his mother was not quite happy about him being out on the bay alone, because he wants to swim anyway .The English boy swam towards some boys far on the rocks. The boys waved at him and they noticed he is a foreigner. He felt accepted as he dived and they watched him. He failed as he tried to stay under water for some time as one of the bigger boys did. Suddenly he was left behind alone and the boys have disappeared. He finds out that they went through a tunnel in a rock and he was impressed. He tried all he could to go through as well, and after some hard practice by himself he learn how to control his breathing. After this hard practice Jerry finally manages to go through the tunnel and he was happy and told his mother what he has archived.

CHARACTERISTICS OF PROTAGONIST

 Jerry is the main character

 He is an English boy and he is 11 years old.

 He was a good swimmer.

 He was hard working

 He does not give up on what he wants.

DIFFICULTIES OF BLOGGER

It been very difficult for me because i was continously
sent to a new page asking me of the same details over
 and over again but my lecturer help me and then i manage
from the onwards, i also had a problem understanding why
we could only use gmail and not yahoo and so on cause
that just made things worse for me. i had to create like a
new gmail account which took alot of my time and had delay
me alot was behind in class..I HOPE THEY WILL look in to
this and try to make it easier for fellow students to come
and also so we can use other sides such as yahoo.
